DOUTRELEAU was born on 14th June 1938 in Arles. He grew up there, in the light that dazzled Van Gogh, Cézanne and so many other painters. In 1968, during a stay in the United States, he found what was to be the driving force behind his work : Speed and Movement. Since then, several personal exhibitions have made Doutreleau's work known world-wide. From Paris to Los Angeles, from Tokyo to Munich or Rio, his work is featured in several collections.
